SunEnergy assists clients to plan future CO2 requirements to move towards CO2 neutral operations. Through SunEnergy owned solar assets, SunEnergy can trade CO2 credits. We also assist clients to acquire credits from third parties. By investing in offsets, clients can neutralize their impact on the environment.
Offsets can be CERs (Certified Emission Reductions under the Kyoto Protocol), EUAs (European Union Allocations), (ERUs Emission Reduction Units) or VERs (Verified Emission Reductions).
VERs are more suited to voluntary programs as they are similar to CERs but not fully United Nations certified. VERs are often derived from relatively small projects that have significantly benefited local communities.
