SunEnergy provides solar energy systems that complement diesel energy systems by delivering improved power output, lower fuel consumption, greater system redundancy, increased security of supply, reduced maintenance costs as well as reduced CO2 emissions.
As the price of diesel fuel has increased, the cost of electricity generated from diesel generators has increased. For many customers, the cost has doubled since 2000. In many remote community situations, an additional diesel generator is used in an on-line manner as a spinning reserve to address demand should the first diesel generator fail. This translates to higher diesel fuel consumption, higher service cost, shorter equipment life cycles, high noise levels and increased CO2 emissions.
SunEnergy has pioneered a diesel enhancement system where a SunEnergy inverter and batteries control each remote site, enabling the spinning reserve to remain switched off until required in the event of a diesel generator failure. In the event that the diesel generator fails, the SunEnergy solar inverter and energy storage system takes over the load and turns the second generator on in an orderly manner.
SunEnergy clients experience a very short 2 to 3 year pay back on this investment.
